ASDA Sporting Chance

NEST has teamed up with ASDA and their Sporting Chance Scheme, a community sports initiative that gives children under the age of 16 access to free sports sessions during the school holidays.
As the Scheme enters its fourth year, NEST has been instrumental in boosting the martial arts presence within the scheme and continues to be the major martial arts club provider.

They have worked closely with the Sporting Chance team to ensure that martial arts receives top billing alongside all of the other competing sporting activities. This was done to such an extent that ASDA agreed to include martial artists on the dedicated website, the vouchers themselves as well the promotional posters and leaflets advertising the events.

Thanks to the work NEST has carried out with ASDA, children can enjoy a free martial arts taster session at a local martial arts venue - an ideal way to keep the kids entertained and active during the School holidays. This was recognised as a smart move by NEST, given that around 70% of the martial arts market is made up from children and in today’s tough economic climate, it is not always easy to find ways of keeping children entertained without spending a fortune.

This summer, ASDA plans to support the scheme with additional external media support as well as previously successful media choices such as Press and Public Relations.
Anyone wishing to benefit from enjoying a free martial arts session can pick up vouchers in-store the week before the kids break up for the Easter holidays. For further details go to www.asda-sportingchance.co.uk
