Kung Fu Panda 2

To complete the trio of dazzling promotions NEST has lined up for this summer, they have also been confirmed as approved partners of Dreamworks for this Summer’s martial arts animated blockbuster, Kung Fu Panda 2 starring the voice of Jack Black.

Kung Fu Panda 2 is the long awaited sequel to the hilarious animation film about Po, the kung fu fighting panda and his friends.

NEST has committed significant funds to a promotional campaign which will see them provide a range of exclusive officially licensed promotional giveaways in support of the launch of the film, which is showing in cinemas from 17th June.

NEST will be supporting clients with a range of initiatives to help student recruitment, referral and conversion.

From the End of April, NEST will have exclusive Kung Fu Panda posters and sticker sheets to give away with every free martial arts taster session, to encourage prospects to attend a club for the first time.

Feedback as a result of previous promotions run by NEST suggests that promotional giveaways are an effective way of driving footfall to clubs, as well as providing an incentive for children to encourage friends to come along to a martial arts class too.

Kung Fu Panda 2 Drawstring Bags and Bandanas will also be available to encourage kids who have attended a free taster class to join the academy.

NEST will also be running a free martial arts class promotion in the National Press during the fortnight in the run up to the film launch on 17thJune. This offer will feature in selected kids’ comics too.

Lucozade Sport Free 60

Lucozade Sport is one of the UK’s best selling isotonic drinks brands, synonymous with adults seeking or maintaining active and healthy lifestyles.
They are also another big brand which is passionate about encouraging people to get involved and participate in sport.

As part of a nationwide campaign this summer, the brand was looking to partner with the best activity and sports centres across the UK to give away hours of free sport with every bottle of Lucozade Sport. They’ll be driving thousands of 16 to 34 year-olds to a dedicated website, where they can choose their free activity.

The campaign is all about encouraging people to try new sports and in doing so getting them through sports centres doors. Of course, if they enjoy it, they’ll be back for more – paid for – action. The campaign is also encouraging more experienced participants to try new venues.

NEST have teamed up with Lucozade Sport to offer free martial arts classes to all purchasers of Lucozade Sport energy drinks with a free on pack offer on over 30 million drinks bottles.

This particular promotion is predominantly aimed at the adult market and is due to be launched on 1st May and will run until 30th July, with consumers able to redeem their online codes until 15th August 2011.

Lucozade will be supporting the offer with a range of broadcast media, including outdoor 6-sheet poster advertising, social network promotion and online marketing. This is in addition to widespread promotion at point of sale in retail stores.

ASDA Sporting Chance

NEST has teamed up with ASDA and their Sporting Chance Scheme, a community sports initiative that gives children under the age of 16 access to free sports sessions during the school holidays.
As the Scheme enters its fourth year, NEST has been instrumental in boosting the martial arts presence within the scheme and continues to be the major martial arts club provider.

They have worked closely with the Sporting Chance team to ensure that martial arts receives top billing alongside all of the other competing sporting activities. This was done to such an extent that ASDA agreed to include martial artists on the dedicated website, the vouchers themselves as well the promotional posters and leaflets advertising the events.

Thanks to the work NEST has carried out with ASDA, children can enjoy a free martial arts taster session at a local martial arts venue - an ideal way to keep the kids entertained and active during the School holidays. This was recognised as a smart move by NEST, given that around 70% of the martial arts market is made up from children and in today’s tough economic climate, it is not always easy to find ways of keeping children entertained without spending a fortune.

This summer, ASDA plans to support the scheme with additional external media support as well as previously successful media choices such as Press and Public Relations.
Anyone wishing to benefit from enjoying a free martial arts session can pick up vouchers in-store the week before the kids break up for the Easter holidays. For further details go to www.asda-sportingchance.co.uk

Shape up for the Summer with Free Martial Arts

Sport England recently announced an initiative to actively encourage and increase Sports participation, especially those who fall into the 11-16 year old category - the ones that it is virtually impossible to drag away from their ‘screens’ be it T.V.’s laptops, smart phones or PS2’s.

And despite the withdrawal of funding from this particular scheme, there appears to be no shortage of big name brands who, acutely aware of their corporate responsibilities and the effect this can have on their company image, are putting their sponsorship money where their mouths are by backing sporting initiatives to encourage people to do more sports.

This also comes at a time when many blue chip companies are seeking to jump on the London 2012 Olympics band wagon and get involved in sports sponsorship and marketing initiatives.

This is great news for all of you out there who would like to try something new in a bid to boost your confidence, increase your fitness levels, reduce stress and get in shape for the Summer holidays.

NEST Management is one company that has worked hard to find suitable partnerships with key players in a bid to drive more people to sample a martial arts class for free.

This summer NEST will be working with 3 leading brands to introduce promotions designed to do just that and in doing so, they will also be helping martial arts school owners to get and keep students during the summer months.
